Police prepared to cite truck driver that was allegedly speeding

A two vehicle accident in the early morning sent two individuals to the hospital. According to Pennsylvania police, a food delivery truck rolled over and landed on top of a vehicle being driven by an unidentified woman. Police have stated that the information they have thus far leads them to suspect that the truck was speeding. According to police statements, it is believed that the driver of the truck may be cited for his role in the accident. No details regarding the potential charges were released.

According to witnesses, the accident occurred around 6:15 a.m. At that time witnesses state that the truck attempted to make a turn when it lost control. It has been alleged that the truck may have been attempting to avoid a red light at the time.

As a result of the rollover, the woman had to be cut out of her vehicle by rescue personnel. She was transported to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Officials have stated that they believe that the woman will survive the accident.

A speeding truck can pose a significant hazard to motorists driving on Pennsylvania roadways. Although there appears to evidence to support charges against the driver, none have been issued to date. The victim, however, may have a claim against the driver of the truck, based on the alleged reckless manner in which the truck was being operated. Through this action, the woman may seek compensation for both physical and emotional injuries as well as restitution for the damage that her vehicle sustained.
