One Pennsylvania man is dead and a woman is severely injured after a car accident on a local roadway. According to police, the fatal accident caused the highway to be closed for four hours while authorities cleaned up the scene and began an official investigation. The surviving victim of the fatal car accident was flown by helicopter to a local hospital where she is being treated for what are described as critical injuries.
Details into the fatal Pennsylvania accident are few. Police are certain that three vehicles were involved in the collision. In addition, it is clear that the vehicles were on 309 near Advance Lane when the crash occurred.
Now the victim that was critically injured lies in a local hospital recovering from her significant injuries. In addition, a family is now suffering the devastating loss of the 25-year-old driver who perished in the crash. The third driver was uninjured, according to reports.
Whenever a fatal accident occurs, authorities typically seek to determine exactly what happened to cause or contribute to the crash. To complete this task, they often reconstruct accident scenes and interview eyewitnesses. While it's not immediately clear exactly why this specific fatal car accident occurred, the surviving family members of the man who lost his life may be allowed to file a wrongful death lawsuit on his behalf, just as the injured woman may be able to bring a personal injury suit in order to have her medical costs covered. In order to file such lawsuits, Pennsylvania residents must be able to show evidence that another party's actions negligently caused the accident that resulted in their injuries.
