Pennsylvania teen dies in fatal accident

Serious car accidents can cause tragedy more quickly than most people expect. A 17-year-old high school student is now dead after a fatal crash on a Pennsylvania roadway. The teen died as a result of being struck by a car as he stood in the painted median of a local road. The fatal accident happened in the early evening of a late fall day.

Pennsylvania medical malpractice case may change some awards

The Pennsylvania Superior Court recently held that in certain types of cases, unrestricted damages are allowed for an injured victim. The recent case applies to medical malpractice matters involving a failed attempt to sterilize a woman. The woman at the center of the controversy had become pregnant after seeking sterilization by a local doctor.

Dangerous product sold in Pennsylvania and other states

Consumers in Pennsylvania are among those affected by a recent product recall. The potentially dangerous product includes French Toast and Sausage Sandwiches made by Jimmy Dean. The products were shipped to several states, including ours. Those that are affected have the code '12292P1' on the back label of the packaging.

Pennsylvania folks may have used dangerous products

Johnson & Johnson are the manufacturers of a group of medical products that may have caused injury or illness to patients in Pennsylvania and around the country. More than 157,000 units of the dangerous products were shipped before the recall was issued. Now, the hemorrhoid treatments that were found to be dangerous products are the subject of a class 1 rating, the FDA's highest danger warning for consumers.

Pennsylvania court considers medical malpractice sex case

The Pennsylvania Supreme court recently issued a holding on a personal injury claim that could be of interest to many readers in our state. The holding stated that a medical malpractice suit against a general practice doctor could not prevail under the assertion that the doctor committed the malpractice by having sex with his patient while treating them for minor mental issues. This case may have some effect on such future claims in our state.
