A Pennsylvania man has filed a suit against a landscaping company from another state. The suit stems from an accident that was caused by improper loading of the truck the company used to haul its equipment. The injuries the man has sustained because of the improper loading procedure by the company have forced him to ask for over $75,000 in compensation.
The plaintiff was on his way to a conference in another state when he found himself driving behind the landscaping truck. Some of the larger items the company used in its everyday operations fell out of the back of the truck, causing the collision of several vehicles. The man claims he was severely injured because of the incident. In the lawsuit, he alleges that, had the equipment been properly secured in the truck, the incident would never have happened.
The man says that he has suffered both physically and mentally from the accident, including losing his sense of smell. The requested compensation amount is expected to cover legal and medical fees. It should also help in recouping earnings he has lost since he has not been able to work because of the incident.
Improper loading of a truck has likely caused many accidents, some more devastating than others. For any Pennsylvania residents who feel they have relevant cause to seek compensation because of a similar incident, finding proper representation is of utmost importance. Some research into the state laws may also need to be performed, as each state has its own laws governing incidents of this nature.
