Man alleges injured on someone else's property in Lowe's case

A Pennsylvania man has filed a personal injury suit against Lowes Companies, the corporation that owns the home improvement warehouse. The personal injury suit was filed after an incident in one of the company's stores where the man maintains that he was injured on someone else's property. The plaintiff is requesting over $50,000 in compensation to cover legal and medical fees.

The man was at the store to purchase a window when a steel beam fell and landed on his foot. He claims there was no warning that the beam was about to fall and the incident happened so suddenly that he was not able to move out of the way. As a result, his toe was fractured and several tendons in his foot were torn.

The plaintiff has reportedly been in relentless pain and has had to spend a good deal of money on medical treatments while waiting for his injuries to heal. He has not been able to work because of the injury he sustained. Do this fact, he has lost money he would have otherwise earned had this incident not happened and has also missed out on normal activities he could have enjoyed if he were not in so much pain.

The personal injury suit also claims negligence on the part of Lowes for allowing an incident like this to happen. A warehouse store like Lowes can be full of potential hazards; however, caution should always be taken to minimize risk of injury. Any Pennsylvania resident who feels he or she has been injured on someone else's property and has reason to file a negligence claim likely needs to research the particular state laws, as each state differs on specific legal codes that might apply in such an incident.
