Pennsylvania contract worker injured on someone else's property

A Pennsylvania man was injured on someone else’s property while carrying out a job he was hired to complete. The damage he has experienced could keep him from continuing in his present occupation. In the personal injury lawsuit he is filing, he is requesting over $150,000 to compensate him for the mutilation that occurred when he was injured on someone else’s property.

Country club not liable in Pennsylvania wrongful death appeal

A recent ruling by a Pennsylvania appeals court confirmed an earlier decision on a wrongful death case. The wrongful death suit was originally filed against a local country club and a male patron of the club, after an accident that occurred shortly after the guest left the club's premises. According to court records, the man was served alcohol during his time at the club. Not long after his departure, he hit a motorcycle, causing the death of the two people on the bike. The victims’ families sought to hold the country club partially liable under the Dram Shop Act.

Study reveals set protocols lessen risk of medical malpractice

There are apparently two schools of thought concerning the approaches that doctors take with their patients. One is based on the idea that the practice of medicine is not a set standard and that every patient is an individual requiring a specialized treatment plan. The other is that medicine is an applied science where standard treatment plans are most effective. A recent study seems to support the second ideal with possibly fewer medical malpractice claims needing to be filed. Patients in Pennsylvania may be interested in learning more about the recent study.
