Car crash damages house in Pennsylvania neighborhood

Some car crashes involve the oddest scenarios. One unusual accident that took place earlier this month involved two cars at the intersection of Tilghman Street and New Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. One vehicle was pulling away from a stop sign, when another car driving eastward down Tilghman smashed into the first vehicle.

After the collision, the Tilghman car proceeded to veer off the street directly into a residential home. The accident happened in the early morning hours at 7 a.m., which would have been a dangerous wake-up call to whoever happened to be sleeping in the home.

Fortunately, police said that no one in the house was injured. The house, however, did suffer some minor damage. Both drivers involved in the accident were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Sometimes in accidents the question of who is at fault is debated by the attorneys representing the parties. However, in this case, it's pretty clear that the homeowners are not at fault. If the homeowner had been injured in the collision, they likely would have been able to pursue a lawsuit seeking monetary damages.

Whether the accident was caused because of speeding, alcohol abuse or reckless driving, someone will be responsible for the costs associated with the injuries. Just like the homeowner, the driver who was hit may discover that a consultation with an experienced personal injury attorney can be beneficial. The attorney could help put together a civil case that would seek to hold the guilty driver responsible for his or her negligent or reckless actions.
