Fatal Pennsylvania car accident leads to possible wrongful death

Pennsylvania police believe that five men were in a car that was recently involved in a fatal accident. Two of the men in the car accident died as a result of the crash. The victims of the crash may have suffered a wrongful death due to the actions of the driver of the car in which they were passengers.

Now authorities are left to investigate this fatal Pennsylvania car accident. Though early details are few, it appears that all of the men were in a car travelling on I-81. The car, for reasons unknown, left the roadway in the early morning hours. The vehicle travelled up an embankment and rolled over. During the crash, at least two of the men in the car were thrown from the vehicle.

In cases where the investigation being conducted by police finds that the actions of a driver resulted in a fatal crash, that person may face liability for the wrongful death of their passengers. Using such a claim, the survivors of the crash victims may be able to seek legal claims based upon the damages caused during the accident. This is also true for those who were injured in the crash but survived.

Wrongful death liability may allow such accident victims survivors to seek compensation for the economic losses that they suffered as a result of a wreck. These losses can include damages and lost wages, among other losses. Though not available in every case, if police discover that the driver of the car is at fault for the fatalities, that person may be the subject of a personal injury claim from accident victims and their survivors.
