Passenger bus caught up in Pennsylvania truck accident

A dramatic crash happened recently on a Pennsylvania roadway that ended a trip for several tourists. The truck accident resulted from a collision between a passenger bus and a large truck carrying building materials. Reports indicate that several passengers on the bus had to be taken to a local hospital for injuries requiring medical attention in the aftermath of the incident.

Pennsylvania officials say that the bus was travelling at a faster rate of speed than the truck and rear ended the large truck. The impact forced the passenger bus off the side of the roadway. The truck continued before stopping on a nearby barrier.

As many as 11 passengers from the bus required medical care. Surprisingly, the truck driver escaped without injury after the violent impact. On the other hand, emergency crews spend a significant amount of time attempting to remove him from the wreckage before he was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The victims of an injury-inducing truck accident may elect to consider the viability of making a claim for compensation under our state's personal injury laws. Though the circumstances behind every accident are unique, in cases where evidence suggests that injuries were sustained due to the negligence of another party, our laws typically allow claims for reimbursement of monetary damages. Before those involved in accidents such as this one can determine if they are able to make such a personal injury claim, they may decide to wait for the results of any official investigation to review any evidence gathered and decide if they wish to pursue a claim for financial recovery.
