Pennsylvania accident could lead to wrongful death lawsuit

Pennsylvania officials are investigating a collision that occurred on a weekend day recently. The car accident left several people injured and in need of medical care and one woman dead. The person who is deemed to have caused the crash could now face liability for the wrongful death of the young victim of this incident, as well as personal injury claims by those injured.

According to an early report, a young driver was traveling in the center lane of Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon. As she drove, a small truck next travelling next to her in the left lane began to enter her space. As a result, the vehicles collided.

The first car that was struck smashed into a third car. All of the vehicles involved in the crash flipped. All of those who survived but were injured in the unfortunate crash were taken to local hospitals. The degree to which they suffered injury is yet unknown.

Now, Pennsylvania officials are left to work to determine exactly what occurred to cause the fatal car accident. The investigation will likely include eyewitness accounts, skid marks left on the roadway and damage to the vehicles involved. This valuable material may be used by those who were injured in the truck accident and the survivors of the fatal victim to pursue personal injury and wrongful death claims against the party deemed responsible. Our laws provide for the right to file these types of legal claims when the evidence suggests that serious personal injury or a fatality was the result of the negligence of another party.
