Low T drug considered dangerous product in Pennsylvania suit

A dangerous product suit was recently filed in a Pennsylvania court. The suit is against two pharmaceutical companies that manufacture and market a drug sold to men who feel they suffer when their testosterone levels decrease as they age. The plaintiff feels that the stroke he experienced was due to a dangerous product specifically targeting men who are going through what is commonly known as Low T.

A few months after the plaintiff had begun taking a drug called Testim, he suffered from a condition caused by an increase of red blood cells in his brain. He did not have a history of neurological problems. He quit taking the medication, and several months later his red blood cell count returned to normal. According to the suit, his condition was a direct result of the drug.

The plaintiff feels that the pharmaceutical industry has overwhelmingly promoted Low T to be a disorder to overcome when it is simply something that naturally happens as a man ages. He claims that he was never given any facts concerning the dangers of taking the drug. A report did not state a compensation amount that the man is seeking, but it is expected to cover a number of medical bills that he continues to accumulate as well as for lost income and other expenses. His wife is also claiming loss of consortium in the suit.

Medication affects different people in different ways. While this man feels this particular drug is a dangerous product for him, it may fulfill its intended purpose for another. However, when just one Pennsylvania resident has been adversely affected by any type of medication, he or she has the right to seek compensation to cover related costs incurred for treatment.
