ATV accident in Pennsylvania injures woman

Riding an all-terrain vehicle can be an incredibly fun recreational activity. Sadly though, accidents occasionally occur involving these vehicles. ATV accidents can sometimes cause individuals to suffer head injuries or other bodily harm.

Recently, a woman here in Pennsylvania was hurt in an ATV accident.

Sunday night, a 44-year-old woman was operating an ATV in Coalport. She did not have a helmet on, authorities say.

According to authorities, the ATV then hit a road sign on Railroad Street. Authorities say that this caused the woman to fall from the ATV and to hit her head against the roadway.

One wonders what caused this ATV accident to occur. The article on the Gant Daily's website which reported this story did not indicate if police have yet made any findings regarding what was behind the accident.

The woman was taken by air to a hospital after the accident. The extent of her injuries was not elaborated on by the Gant Daily article.

ATV accidents can have a wide variety of different causes. Sometimes, such accidents are the result of mechanical problems with an ATV, such as steering problems, accelerator problems or brake problems. Thus, looking into the condition of an ATV and its various vital mechanical parts can be very important following an accident involving the vehicle. Legal action may be able to be taken if mechanical defects were behind an ATV accident.

One of the things that attorneys can do for victims of ATV accidents is conduct investigations into an ATV's condition and other important details of an ATV accident.
