Massive Pile-up on I-81 in Pennsylvania During Snow Squall

A massive pile-up on Monday, March 28, 2022, involved 39 commercial vehicles and 41 passenger vehicles after a snow squall came barreling down Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania. The wreck killed at least six people and sent 24 others to the hospital.

Several tractor-trailers and smaller vehicles caught fire. Officials believe a snow squall clouded visibility and likely contributed to the accident.
